In Process: Bumpy “Chalice”

Chasing away...
Chasing away…

It’s been a while since I’ve made a chalice and I decided that now is the time. I wanted to some different kind of vessel, and of course you can’t actually use it, but it’s a jumping off point.

I’m using the weird pattern I showed you the other week and using it on a piece of bumpy air chased brass. Currently I’m forging two folded strips of nickel, so my arms are pretty tired. Also, good thing I got that new gas tank this week. So much faster when it’s full!

  1. Great idea Wendy making a chalice, I have always wondered how difficult would it be to raise one of those, your process makes it even more interesting. Looking forward to the final results. P.S> love the worm hole effect 🙂
