Fold Forming in Harrisburg

Studio at HACC we'll be using.

While I get my new computer up and running (and figure out why my email won’t switch over!) I wanted to let you know about my upcoming Fold Forming Workshop on May 19th. Once again we’ll be at HACC in Harrisburg, PA from 10am – 4pm. This is a fun workshop for me to teach and my students seem to be enjoying themselves too! Don’t miss out if you’re in driving distance to Central Pennsylvania.

We’ll be learning the four basic folds of the technique by making samples and then using those folds to create two cuff bracelets. $115 for non-members and $105 if you belong to the PA Guild of Craftsmen. All skill levels are welcome!

The Last Day of Cuffmas… A Simple Sterling Cuff

Simple Sterling Fold Formed Cuff ©2010 WTEK

Smooth and simple, that’s how we’ll end this year’s 12 Days of Cuffmas. This is one of my smoother silver fold formed cuff bracelets. I did texture the background somewhat, but the overall design came out fairly simple and simply elegant.

This cuff measures 2.5″ x 2″ x 1.75 and can simply wow people on your arm this holiday season for $175.00 plus shipping.

What are the 12 Days of Cuffmas, you ask? For each cuff on my Etsy site that is purchased, I will donate $10.00 to Heifer International. Our goal is to reach the $120.00 it takes to donate a goat.

11 Days of Cuffs and Counting… My Famous Cuff

Hold in there, just one more day to go!

This is the cuff that I was making while being filmed for a news segment on my local NBC station. It is made with textured red brass that was fold formed and then shaped into a cuff. The dark color is from the torch patina I hammered into it.

This cuff measures 2″ x 2 1/2″ x 1 5/8″. You can own this cuff that Meredith Jorgensen tried on for $100.00 plus shipping.

PS You can see the news segment here.
