  • Solo Exhibition
  • Blog Post Every 4 Days Every Week
  • 4-8 Group Exhibitions
  • Representation in 1-3 New Galleries √
  • 12 Major Finished Pieces
  • 1-2 Art/Networking Events per Month

My first quarter this year was a bit of a stinker. As you may have surmised, I am no where near posting every four days. So I have amended this goal to one that better serves for where I am right now. I can always write more often, but it’s better to be more realistic about my commitment level right now.

I’ve done some paltry work thinking about the solo exhibition. Not as much as I’d like, but it is closer to the front of my thoughts than in the past.

As well as continuing to have work at JAM Gallery, I had a few pieces in the PA Guild of Craftsmen Instructor & Student Exhibition in February. So that’s one of 4-8 group exhibitions down.

Some Things Looming in Reading, PA has decided to continue the boutique style of Handmade Holidays throughout the year by expanding their boutique to offer a variety of craft media. You can find some of my jewelry here, so that is actually one goal checked off already!

You have seen on the blog here that I have been attending the Yellow Breeches chapter meetings (the weather this winter really cooperated!) thus, keeping me on track for the art/networking event goal. I have also been out to try and find some other events, but I have had some trouble with venues closing early before I could get there (this happened multiple times in multiple venues.) Not an excuse, but I have been trying to get out more.

As for the last goal, I have completed 2/12 major pieces so far this year. I am in the process of another one right now (and I did just finish a necklace thank you very much) and of course there is that bane of my existence, I mean, unfinished sculpture that is just waiting to be put together and attached to a base. Yes, I’m talking about that one I started LAST MARCH. It mocks me every time I’m in the studio, so it will be finished soon. It’s warm enough for the concrete to set right, so IT WILL BE DONE.

How are your goals going so far this year? Better than mine? There’s still plenty of time for all of us to catch up with one another.
