It’s time once again to make a bowl. Not just any sort of bowl, but a SUPER bowl. For the last 8 years I have been making a bowl on Super Bowl Sunday and inviting you to join in on the fun. The last couple of years have been pretty sparse as far as additional participants go, so if you’ve ever felt the urge to join in, do it THIS YEAR.
Seriously, it doesn’t have to be a big bowl, a fancy bowl, or a metal bowl. I work hard to make mine special, but I love to see diversity. Make a bowl out of bread, make one out of toothpicks, heck, you can even DRAW a bowl. The point is that we’re in it together to try and have fun even if we don’t like football. If you do like football, you can start early in the day (or even way before hand) just try to finish it on that Sunday. I always try to get it done before kick-off just to give myself a deadline.
Make sure to share your bowl (and clue me in to where to find it.) I love doing a post of all the participants’ pieces. It’s fun to see how many different interpretations of “bowl” are out there. There is a Super Bowl Challenge 2016 Flickr group set-up where we can display our finished products and I’ll showcase some of them right here on my blog. There is a Super Bowl Challenge Facebook event page and, if you have your own blog, show us the progress of your bowl and we can link to each other. It’s a team effort.
