I just finished Fall Into Fine Craft and I’m rushing to get ready to drop off work for two boutique/exhibition shows this week. The first one is the JAM Gallery Winter exhibition which opens one week from today! I’ll be dropping off this weekend, but I wanted to make something new for the show, so I was hard at work in the studio yesterday. It’s not done, but it will be before drop-off! (hopefully!) I’ll also have jewelry at this show and it makes a great place to start you holiday shopping this year…
It’s a wonderful time of the year with the warmth and magic of the holidays – whether you celebrate nature with the solstice and / or enjoy the tradition of religious activities. Celebrate with JAM Gallery at our “Winter Exhibition,” which opens on November 3, 2015 and runs through January 2, 2016. Second Saturday receptions will be on November 14 and December 12 from 5 to 8 PM. These receptions are free and open to the public and feature
complimentary refreshments as well as a chance to meet and chat with some of the artists in the show. In addition to the public reception, JAM will also take part in the town-wide Third Thursday Malvern Stroll on November 19 and December 17. During the stroll, the Gallery will feature extended hours until 8 PM as well as complimentary refreshments and special events from 5-8 PM.
“The holiday season in Chester is filled with bustling activity, including an exciting exhibition time for JAM Gallery. The participating artists have provided unique paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and ceramics which are of outstanding quality and which cannot be found elsewhere,” says JAM Gallery owner and artist Melanie Fisher.
The Winter Exhibition will display artwork by both resident JAM Gallery artists Fisher and Lynnette Shelley as well as original works by artists: Bill Blazak, Patti Brinjac, Jerzy Almi Tufman, Kristen Woodward, Kaitlyn Malloy, Wendy Edsell-Kerwin, Chris Paxson, Doug Mott, William Sulit, Steven Schaefer, Carla Lombardi, Daisy Cohen, Thomas Hopkinson, Norm Dodge, Alfred Ortega, Monique Kendikian Sarkessian, Jennifer Domal, and Rose Manteghian.
