So apparently this weekend is supposed to filled with snow and sleet and other cold, wet winter offerings. It’s a perfect time to snuggle up with some hot buttered rum. Personally, I make mine with Kraken black rum, but any kind of spiced rum works. Calico Jack is a tasty, cheaper option. Just don’t use white rum or we can’t be friends anymore.
HOT BUTTERED RUM
- 1 TBSP Brown Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Butter
- Dash Ground Cinnamon
- Dash Ground Nutmeg or Clove
- Hot Water
- 1 Shot (or more!) of Spiced Rum
- Lemon slice , cinnamon stick, or whipped cream to garnish
In your favorite (HANDMADE!!)mug, add the brown sugar, butter, spices, and rum. Heat the water in a kettle or in the microwave and fill the mug. Stir and garnish if desired. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
