SBC VII – It Begins

Yes, SBC VII doesn’t officially take place until February 1st, but I’ve started already. I will not go into overtime this year!

I got the idea to do a sort of pixelated bowl this year that will have many layers. There are 9 parts to put together (more if I make a base to hold it up) and all of them will be raised tube riveted together to give it super depth. It seems simple and I seem to be almost done, but putting it all together will take a lot of time. Plus, there’ll be a lot of holes to drill.

The design is also different because there are a lot of square/rectangle based shapes that I don’t normal use. It’ll still be pretty organic, but more rectilinear than normal, kinda like that last wall piece. Maybe I’m sensing a theme so far this year…

So what sort of bowl are YOU making for this year’s Super Bowl Challenge? Wood, Lego, bread, paper? I challenge you to have fun or to push yourself (maybe even both!)
