SBC V Roundup

It seems that there was only one other participant in this year’s Super Bowl Challenge – Angela Heim. So this post will focus on her bowl. Hopefully next year some other people will join in. If per chance you did make a bowl this year but didn’t tell me or put any photos on Flickr, please link to any photos or blog posts in the comments section of this post.

Angela Heim‘s Rising to the Surface

I created this bowl especially for the Super Bowl challenge 2013 hosted by Wendy Edsall-Kerwin. I was capture by the unique way bubbles cling to one another, some eventually enveloping the neighboring bubbles. The entire bowl was fabricated with sterling silver measuring 2.75″ deep and 5.25″ wide.

You know I love the openness of this design plus I’m fascinated by bubbles. The delicate nature of the wire structure really mimics the delicate nature of bubbles. A great entry into the Super Bowl Challenge Hall of Fame!
