This weekend is the Spring Art Walk in Lancaster, PA. While I currently don’t have any work up in the area, there are plenty of other artists and craftspeople who do. There are all kinds of great exhibitions, performances, and other events planned.
I’ll be working at the PA Guild of Craftsmen’s gallery on Prince Street, and we’ll have artist demonstrators on both days. Looking through the events listing at other venues, you can make some of your own art, touch other people’s art, shop the artisan market at the museum, and pretend that you’re Jackson Pollock. Make sure and grab a map to plot your course.
It’s always a fun time and great to see so much art at one time. There’s so much to see and do you’ll probably need both days to get through it all. And don’t forget to grab something to eat at one of the great restaurants downtown. Mmmm, crepes at Rachels, locally sourced fine dining at John J. Jefferies, or one of the cafes for soup and sandwiches. And don’t forget the micro brews…
