Saturday I finally finished my Elements series of necklaces. I had always planned on there being nine pieces, though which elements I chose was a little up in the air. Yesterday I took photos of the last two pieces, Wood & Blood.
These were two of my favorite pieces to make. There’s not really any reason, [...]

Here’s a quick post about what I’ve been up to lately. This week I’m finishing the last of the Elements necklaces. Right now I just need to make the chain and connect the pendant. Then the series will be complete. It’s a little sad, but mostly it’s a great sense of accomplishment that I feel. [...]

Yesterday I finally finished the penultimate Elements necklace, Wood. It’s mostly made of brass with a sterling silver bezel and mahogany obsidian stone. I went with a circular theme, thinking about the rings in wood and cross sections of trees. I really like the way it came out, and the necklace compliments the pendant nicely. [...]

I’m going to riff off Tamra Gentry’s “Teacup Tuesdays” idea and show you one of my new coffee mugs.
This isn’t just any mug, but a piece of art that I was lucky enough to receive as a gift (after picking it out ;^). The artist, Coover Porcelain, is also from PA and I found it [...]

So I took advantage of today’s lovely weather and grabbed a few shots of the newest Elements necklace, Ice, that I finished over the weekend. I chose the best photo to share with you. This is the 7th in a series of (probably) 9 necklaces and it’s made of sterling silver and botryoidal agate. Let [...]

Today I’m going to give you an idea of what all goes into the creation of one
of my Elements necklaces. As I was making my latest, Metal, I took some photos of the process so that you can see some of what all goes on while I am creating. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures [...]

Here are pictures (finally!) of my next two pieces in my Elements series, Air & Earth. Earth uses nickel, brass and serpentine, while Air is made of sterling silver and graveyard plume agate. As you can see, I’ve changed my design more with Air and I’ve made more substantial chains for both of these. I still [...]

I just dropped my work off yesterday for the Pennsylvania Society of Metalsmiths All Members’ Show in Allentown. I submitted a good range of my work, mostly my higher end pieces with older and new work represented. I wanted my first show with them to show a range of my work, kind of like a [...]
