I’ve mentioned before that I use patterns in my “In Progress” posts. Here are a few of my latest ones.
The pattern from the cuff that didn’t turn out (along with the pattern for the additional part that was removed.)
Then there are the patterns for the Entropy pendants and rings:

And the most recent are some paper prototypes for my upcoming teapot:
You can see I used these to work out exactly what size I wanted and then to make the pattern that I’ll use for the actually pieces of the pot’s body. But there’ll be more on that later…










W- using paper patterns certainly saves on metal when doing prototypes – good idea. B
My fold forming teacher showed me that trick. Anything you can do with a piece of paper, you can do with sheet metal. A forging instructor also pointed out that clay works too.
