Summertime Sangria

I’m getting ready for our annual picnic and won’t be able to get into the studio until later in the week (though there is a lot of baseball happening this week, so maybe even later.)

So today I’ll give you my white sangria recipe that is requested each year for said picnic. I’ve been told it’s pretty yummy.

Enjoy!

Summertime Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 1 Bottle of your favorite white wine (I use Yellowtail Riesling – the big bottle)
  • 1 Lemon cut into wedges
  • 1 Orange cut into wedges
  • 1 Lime cut into wedges
  • 1 Peach cut into wedges
  • 1 cup sliced Strawberries
  • ½ cup Limeade
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 2 shots of a fruit flavored Brandy
  • 2 cups Ginger Ale

Preparation:

Pour the wine into a pitcher and squeeze the juice wedges from the citrus fruits into the wine.  Toss in the fruit wedges (leaving out the seeds if possible) and add the rest of the fruit, limeade, sugar, and brandy.

Chill overnight.  Add ginger ale and ice just before serving.  Or, if you’d like to serve right away, use chilled white wine.
